Jesus is inviting us to work together to re-engage the forgotten and neglected ways of his simple, difficult kingdom.
No longer can followers of Christ be characterized by “going to church.”
We must learn, once again, to be the church.
In an increasingly dark and divided culture, it seems that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Some of the most wonderfully gifted and potentially capable workers in the kingdom of God have been lulled to sleep by a culture of Christianity; a set of norms and expectations that do not produce the life Jesus offers and the fruit Jesus desires.
Like the woman at the well in John 4, Jesus invites us to re-center on the Word of God (truth) and the Spirit of God (spirit) in order to learn who Jesus is and who we are as his church.
In a culture full of disappointments, disillusions, and deceptions regarding what it means to be the church, we desire to put forth a space of vulnerability and honesty as groups of people learn to be the church.
Church co-lab centers around two main ideas:
1) A shared lab for church experimentation
Staff and elders from within the Radius Network utilize this space to spur on creative ideas for expressing the ecclesial minimum. Churches are encouraged to pioneer ideas that are Biblically congruent and empowered by the Spirit.
2) A collaborative space for churches to learn from churches
As churches experience failures, frustrations, battles and breakthroughs, we offer this space as an opportunity to learn from one another. We invite humility and vulnerability; awareness of the Enemy’s schemes and boasting in the work of the Lord.
As we unite to experiment and collaborate together in the name of Jesus Christ, we believe the Father will be glorified. Join us in seeking God’s kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth as it is heaven!
